Innovative music curator Jazz Re:freshed and showcase producer British Underground are launching Outernational, a two year live music project highlighting artists at the frontline of UK jazz at SXSW 2017. The partnership includes a major stage at the festival in Austin followed by a series of showcase events in partnership with Brooklyn-based festival promoter Afropunk in Europe and North America. The showcasing programme, supported by funding from Arts Council England, will feature world-class emerging UK jazz artists currently shaping our understanding of the contemporary UK jazz genre.
