This is a ~special~ one for us, we're presenting the ONLY phone-free event at SXSW!
This will be a phone-free experience. Use of cellphones, smart watches, smart accessories, cameras or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space.
Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times, and can access their phones throughout the show at designated Phone Use Areas in the venue. All phones will be resecured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space. Guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process.
Anyone seen using a cellphone during the performance will be escorted out of the venue. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free experience.
Howdy Gals is a femme booking and promotions company based in Austin, Texas. We strive to bring you diverse and inclusive lineups throughout the city and nation. We LOVE live music and are so stoked to work with Yondr!Yondr creates phone-free spaces for artists, educators, organizations and individuals all over the world. For more info on this neat group, visit overyondr.com.
Howdy Gals and Yondr have at least one thing in common: we love live music. SXSW is an exciting time to meet musicians, industry leaders and music lovers in person. We are excited to invite all of you rock-n-roll lovers to a different kind of SXSW party, where people can experience our shared love of music in the moment instead of focusing on documenting or broadcasting it.
To create a phone-free environment, all phones will be secured in a Yondr pouch that will be unlocked as you leave the venue. You'll keep your pouch-secured phone on you during the show and, if needed, can unlock your phone at any time at a phone use area.
We're very excited to present this show for you all.Hope to see you there!
