From voice assistants to self-parking cars, assistive technology has evolved significantly in the Internet Age. For the millions of people worldwide* who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) - an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system - these solutions are a start, but there are still many barriers to living a more fully independent life. MS patients and advocates are actively seeking ways to raise awareness of these continuing challenges and how we might begin to address them. In this session, Kate Milliken, an MS influencer, and George Pepper, founder of Shift.ms, will highlight the lived experiences of people with MS, focusing on the daily struggles, lifelong challenges and how technology impacts their lives.
