Consumers operate under the assumption that anything sold in the store is safe enough to bring into the home - and why shouldn’t they? With well-designed packaging and happy-go-lucky product labels that tout “natural,” “eco,” and “healthy” ingredients, consumers rely on good faith in every purchase - from food to cosmetics to home cleaning supplies. But peel back the label on any one of these goods and you’ll most likely find a list of chemical compounds that are scientifically-proven carcinogens, obesogens, and asthmagens.
