Although it may not be obvious from the coverage of women's sports, all across the globe and in various sports there are competitive female athletes and women's teams that compete nationally and internationally at high levels. Whether they travel regionally representing their city's women's rugby team, travel internationally on their own dime playing roller derby, or get paid to play more conventional sports like soccer and basketball, this meet up is for non male athletes from various sports, backgrounds, and levels of competition to meet, connect, and exchange ideas. Even if athletes compete in different sports and for different organizations, there is much to be gained from supporting one another.
