2020 Official Showcase Presenter
In 2020, Fire Records will return to Austin for SXSW, teaming up with The Anniversary for their official showcase. Over the past few years Fire Records has risen to become one of the worlds leading independent labels. Fiercely independent and driven by maverick A&R, it has developed into what Billboard described as “The most elegant Psychedelic Pop label in the World,” fronted by the critically acclaimed Jane Weaver, Virginia Wing and Vanishing Twin. In addition it has exposed the world the dreamlike pop of bands like Death and Vanilla and Hater and become a home from home for established international artists such as The Lemonheads, Chills, Sebadoh, Kristin Hersh, and The Black Lips.
