The 7th annual PitchTexas Student Startup competition is presented by The Graduate Entrepreneurship & Innovation Club at the McCombs School of Business on behalf of the greater University of Texas at Austin. PitchTexas is the only pitch competition at SXSW run by students, for students.
From a global field of 155 student-led startups, judges selected 16 teams to compete in the semifinals, with the chance to win a total of $50,000 in cash prizes.
The 16 semifinal student teams hail from nine graduate and undergraduate programs: Cornell University, Harvard Business School, Michigan State University, Northwestern - Kellogg, University of Chicago - Booth, University of North Carolina, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas at Austin, and Vanderbilt University.
