How can we count the uncountable, the marginalized, and those who distrust the government? Our Constitution mandates that once every decade, every person living in the US – citizen or not – be counted in the Census. Across the country, groups like Queer the Census and Make Black Count are working through Complete Count Committees to ensure inclusion of historically underrepped, hard-to-count populations. What’s at stake? More than $1.5 trillion in annual federal funding, congressional seats, redistricting, and more. These CCCs are committed to dispeling myths, assuaging fears, and making sure that everyone is counted. Census Day is April 1, 2020. Learn from this panel of census and data activists what still can be done to make the census count and to make the census count everyone!
